Offline storage is a section of land designed to store overflow water from heavy rain/flood events. The areas, which lie adjacent to watercourse, are designed to hold water back. This increases the time water is on site, allowing increased retention time. This allows land time to recover from extreme weather events, holds the water on the farm, allowing for the water to filter into the soil and be used.
